With only one whole day left now before the majority of us go home for Easter, it's time for the big clean up. After all that inspections getting closer and closer and we don't want to be charged for anything else.
After having so much trouble trying to print in the Mac Suite on Monday, I've finally managed to get my six prints complete for tommorrow. First the printer attached to the computer wasn't installed and then when it finally worked the print colours were awful. Me and Kirsty were getting stressed out and just gave up and went home. I'm suprised i remembered how to do all that test print stuff, but it seemed to work quite well. I seriously need to buy a better printer over the easter holidays. Atleast Sam let me use his. This time.
Okay so i can't put it off any longer, i really need to type up my essay. Trying to get it to just 1000 words has been a real struggle. I don't know how I'm expected to write about twelve different realism's with examples at less than ninety words each. Never mind at least I've got it typed up and ready to hand in. Well that's after I've condensed it anyway.
So i decided to still go to Kinki Cowkids even though my essay was on my mind. I wish i hadn't bothered. It was really empty and i swear my drink got knocked out of my hand about three times. And to top it off on my way home my hat flew off into the road and a taxi ran over it. It was quite funny though, but that'll be the last Kinki i go to.
So i came home from a night out and found this grotty sofa sitting outside with all its cushions spread on the floor. I went and asked surrounding flats what it was doing outside and i was told how someone had been sick on it so instead of just wiping it off they decided to throw the whole thing outside. Why they couldn't just clean it i don't know. Outsides turning into such a rubbish dump. I think people have forgot how to use their rubbish bins.
I'm quite concerned about how much alcohol we are all getting through this term and where these five bottles of vodka have appeared from. The worrying thing is that three of them are empty and must have been consumed in one night as well as other alcohol. Our livers are going to be pickled. I think mine deserves a well earned detox over the Easter. But will it really happen?
I desperately need to tidy my room. Its like all my drawers are open and everythings spilling out all over the place. Don't even ask why my halloween pumkin outfit is sitting on my bed like its ready to be worn again.
At last the boilers up and working again, i was going to say fixed but they still have to come and top up the pressure everyday. At least we've now got hot water which means we can all use the showers again. Well that's after we've cleaned the hair from the plughole from where it kept on getting blocked up and turning into a mini bath at your feet. The accumulation of hair is absolutely revolting and i really didn't want to get this close to take the photograph.
With only a week to go until my essay has to be handed in I'm starting to panic a little. Its not as if i haven't done anything yet, I mean I've got an essay prep work book on the go its just i haven't started to write it up. Im slightly worried by how many realisms I need to discuss having only 1000 words! I've bought a couple of books though which are quite helpful so I'm hoping its not going to take me too long to write. Im more organised than last time anyway.
It was a nice suprise to come home from my seminar to find the boys cleaning the kitchen. Even the hob had a good wipe. Although beyond the photograph dont see all the stuff which was on the worktop now dumped on the table. Atleast theres somewhere clean to prepare food now. I wonder how long it will last for.
This image comes a day late due to our lack of electricity. After updating my blog yesterday i lost the will to post when it came to this picture because the electric kept on cutting out and my Internet kept on disconnecting. As i was getting some water from the tap the boiler began to spark. It turns out that upstairs' boiler has been leaking into ours causing it to break, which explains our lack of electricity and hot water. Its so frustrating having to only use one plug socket in the kitchen and having no hot water or showers. I guess we'll just have to wait until tomorrow to see what the electrician says. And just to top it all off everyones coming down with a bug in our flat, carlo has been sick several times and now joe is. It'll be just my luck that i get it next as the doctor said its 'really contageous'. Great.
It was so nice to have a Sunday Roast today, i think we were all in need of a proper meal. The plates were huge and full off food, it was only £5.99 and you even got a drink thrown in. I'm sure we'll definitely be going back there. The boys still had to end their meal with a McDonald's mcflurry on the way home though. It's like they can't go one meal without adding rubbish to it. Feeling really full and content, I'm in need of an early night.
It made such a difference not having to get up for my usual 8.30 a.m shift and having an extra three hours sleep. I awoke in such a better mood than previous Saturdays. Well that was until i found my uniform screwed up on the floor in the same position as i had thrown it off the weekend before. There wasn't anything i could do about it though, it was only an hour until i had to be there so i just had to wear it how it was and wait until i got back to wash it. Even my shoes were still soaking wet and really dirty from the foam party on Wednesday night. I really need to sort myself out and get organised. Perhaps by starting with tidying my room.
I think the chinese delivery man was quite annoyed with the fact that we paid him £30.20 all in coins, handed to him in a dirty wine glass. The chinese was good though, although we all ended up ordering far too much and throwing alot of it away. Sweet and sour chicken balls was an obvious favourite with the sauce all over the place. I even stood in a whole pot at one point, it got everywhere and stained my hands orange. No doubt the smell and remains of the takeway will remain on the floor for the next few days.
Well I'm not really sure where to go from here with my blog, todays lesson has thrown me off course a bit. I think that i exaggerated the idea of colour a bit too much within my photographs this week and definately need to think more about the construction of my images because they are looking too snap shot like.
